What it Means to R.E.S.T.
R.E.S.T or Restricted Environmental Stimulation Technique is the philosophy behind floatation therapy. The key to R.E.S.T is essentially “sensory deprivation,” or stripping the mind and body of all the external stimuli, in order to make room for healing.
Our float tubs are filled with dense saltwater that effortly supports your frame so you can float comfortably and breathe easily. Both the water and air within the pod are adjusted to your body’s natural temperature of around 94 degrees Fahrenheit– leading to an almost “out-of-body” experience as you lose the sensation of touch and the weight of gravity. For the most benefit, you’ll also have the option to turn off the lights and eliminate visual stimuli. With your ears plugged, and submerged under the water, you don’t have to worry about interrupting sounds.

Manage Stress
A large decrease in cortisol levels is shown post float compared to pre-float levels. Furthermore, the evidence published for R.E.S.T. shows it is a safe and effective relief for stress, anxiety disorders, PTSD and depression disorders.
Reduce Pain
Significant reductions in pain have been documented by research when measured pre and post float. Acute and Chronic pain alike show benefits from magnesium in the float environment.

That’s no problem! We offer three different floating experiences for those that are okay with enclosed spaces, those that are wanting more open surroundings, or those needing ADA accessible care.

Blue Heart Pod
The Blue Heart Pod is a complete R.E.S.T (sensory deprivation experience). The capsule helps further reduce outside noise. You can float in total darkness, or have a starry night sky above you. All of our rooms feature auto dimming lights, sound-proof insulation, and private showers to ensure your experience is the best each time.
Shoshone Open Float (ADA)
The Shoshone Open Float is our ADA accessible float room that features an open, pool-like experience within a private room. All of our rooms feature auto dimming lights, sound-proof insulation, and private showers to ensure your experience is the best each time.
Pillar Cabin Float
The Pillar Cabin Float room features an open, pool-like tub, behind a secondary wall from the rest of the room. It’s still wide open, but a little more closed off than the Shoshone Open Float. All of our rooms feature auto dimming lights, sound-proof insulation, and private showers to ensure your experience is the best each time.
